British beauty overcame domestic violence, found confidence

A British beauty is inspiring young women around the world with her story of overcoming domestic violence and building a new and fulfilling life.

Lacy Lund, 19-years-old, was brutally beaten by her 22-year-old boyfriend, according to The Daily Mail. She told the news outlet that her nose was too badly destroyed for doctors to restore; instead they had to completely rebuild it.

Lund says she remembers the violent attack and feeling shock that someone she believed loved her could hurt her so badly. She lived with her ravaged nose for months before cosmetic surgeons were able to operate.

“When I walked out of surgery with my new nose I felt like a completely new person and a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders,” Lund told The Daily Mail. “I have been finally able to live my life again and move on from what happened. My new nose gave me such a confidence boost.”

Lund is feeling so good that she is modeling and entering a British beauty contest. She says she is determined to move on from the devastating attack and rebuild her life. Lund is eager to share her story to help other women who are victims of domestic violence, urging them to reach out for help before it is too late.

Lund’s story is the perfect illustration of how even negative events can help us in the long run, by prompting us to take control of our lives and reveal our inner strength.
