It seems as if women have an expiration date in Hollywood, no matter how good of an actress they are. This is why many famous women are opting to undergo facial procedures in order to extend their careers.
Botox, face lifts and other procedures have helped many actresses, including Susan Sarandon, have lengthy careers.
Sarandon isn't embarrassed by her decision to visit a plastic surgeon, and even admits that her various procedures have made her feel more confident because they are natural-looking.
"I've had some lipo under my chin and under my eyes," she told People Magazine. "I have these two huge frown lines here (on my forehead). But if you can't move your face or you're unrecognizable, I don't see how that's a productive enhancement. You don't want to look like a female impersonation of yourself."
It's hard to believe that Sarandon is 67-years-old, because she looks at least a decade younger thanks to these various procedures!
On the other hand, stars who have chosen to age "naturally," may not have this same confidence and career opportunities. Diane Keaton recently told People Magazine that she finds it difficult to look in the mirror now that she has aged. She considers her appearance "hopeless" and recognizes that she may need a facelift, but is afraid that she is a lost cause.
