Laser treatments could be best option for unsightly scarring

We all have facial imperfections that we’re insecure about, whether they’re under-eye bags, dark spots, freckling or even a slightly crooked bridge of the nose. In the past, most people have had to resign themselves to these issues and the self-consciousness they caused, but Miami plastic surgery has changed all that.

In this day and age, it is possible to enhance almost any aspect of your figure, however subtly or dramatically, and the results often come with an incredible boost in self-esteem – as long as you entrusted the right Miami plastic surgeon for the job. Recently, a team of Chinese researchers has unveiled a treatment that is gaining popularity as a way to rid men and women of unsightly scars that may cause them to cover up in the Florida heat.

According to a press release from the American Society of Plastic Surgeon Dr. Qingfeng Li led the review in Shanghai, and discovered that laser treatments had a 70 percent success rate on average for treating and preventing the formation of scars. The studies focused on hypertrophic scars and keloids, which are both “abnormal tissue responses that lead to raised and thickened areas of scarring, resulting in cosmetic and sometimes functional problems.”

This is exciting news for anyone who self-conscious about scarring, but it is not the only way that a Miami plastic surgeon can help you look and feel your best. Contact Dr. Christopher Craft to find out more about facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, Mommy Makeovers and more.
