By far the greatest benefit of plastic surgery – whether it's a tummy tuck, eyelid surgery or a Brazilian butt lift – is the confidence it can bring. When you feel good about the way you look, there is no end to where this boost in self-esteem may take you. Perhaps you've been apprehensive about approaching someone in a bar, or didn't feel bold enough to vie for a certain promotion. It's amazing just how liberating it can be to just feel comfortable in your own skin.
Previously on this blog, we talked about how plastic surgery helped 52-year-old Patti Stanger of Bravo's "Millionaire Matchmaker" find love again by making her feel sexier among a sea of 20-somethings. Now, 60-year-old grandmother Patricia Moss has spoken to the U.K. Mirror about her own dating experience – and the credit she owes to her plastic surgeon. Moss married in her 20s but the union ended within 10 years, leaving the mother of two single again when she turned 30. Since then, Moss has had the chance to rediscover herself and what she wants in a romantic relationship, and says the plastic surgery she's undergone over the years has helped her feel more confident pursuing it.
"I've never regretted having surgery," said Moss, who has had breast implants, a tummy tuck and Botox injections among other treatments.
Now, Moss finds herself most fulfilled in the company of younger men. The Mirror describes her as a "serial dater" who is enjoying being wined and dined by her various paramours.
Moss has made a commitment to keeping herself fit and fabulous, and told the newspaper she looks for the same in a partner.
"I just don't feel attracted to men with beer bellies who've let themselves go in the looks department," she explained.
