Naomi Watts talks about the possibility of plastic surgery

Posted on January 16, 2015 by

It is undeniable that Naomi Watts is one of the most strikingly beautiful women working in Hollywood today. But, in an interview with Town & Country Magazine, the 45-year-old Academy Award nominee talked about how the move to Los Angeles with her husband impacted how she views herself and her physical appearance, especially when it comes to plastic surgery.

Watts and her partner, Liev Schreiber, relocated to Los Angeles from their home in New York City in 2014 with their sons due to Schreiber’s Showtime series “Ray Donovan” being filmed in LA. It was this move that caused Watts to begin questioning her physical appearance and whether or not she meets the beauty standards of Hollywood, due to the fact that there is such a heavy concentration of actors on the West Coast.

“This being an industry town, that self-consciousness just pervades,” Watts told the magazine. “There are days I feel victorious that I have … gotten this far. But there are a million days when I look in the mirror and think, ‘I’m going to do it, I’m going to do it, I’m going to do it. I can’t live with this anymore.'”

Watts says that while she has never had plastic surgery up to this point in her life, it is not something that she will definitively rule out in the future. Going back and forth before you make the commitment is typical of any person who is thinking about having cosmetic work done, as it requires significant money and changes to the body.

If you are interested in exploring this possibility, be sure to schedule an appointment with Christopher Craft, M.D., one of the top board certified plastic surgeons in Miami.
