"Modern Family" is one of the biggest successes on television, with the family sitcom – now into its sixth season on ABC – regularly drawing over 10 million viewers an episode. Because of this noticeable attention, the stars of the show are used to being in the spotlight and all of the pressures and anxieties that can go along with it. One of the show's breakouts, Emmy-winning actress Julie Bowen, recently spoke about the possibility of plastic surgery with ABC News.
While speaking with the news source, the 44-year-old said that she doesn't think she would be able to handle the level of "scrutiny" that would occur should she ever decide to go under the knife. While a change in her appearance would be immediately noticeable through her work on "Modern Family" and appearances on various red carpets and award shows, Bowen did stress that she would "never say never" and might get some work done in the future.
Bowen then went on to talk about her own personal beauty regimen, which she says needs to be kept "basic" due to her filming schedule and being a mom to three boys, one of whom is seven and a set of five year old twins. Bowen said that the health of her skin is one of the most important things to her, which is why she invests heavily in different creams that can help reduce the look of facial wrinkles. Bowen has learned to embrace the changes her body has gone through since her pregnancies, though she still wouldn't rule out plastic surgery down the road.
